Video: Mississippi Town Celebrates 300th Birthday

NATCHEZ, Miss. (WCBI) — Happy Birthday, Natchez!

On Wednesday, the southwest Mississippi town turned 300.

Residents there are celebrating its extensive history and heritage by holding various community events.

The celebration kicked off with a presentation on the Natchez Indians, followed by one on colonial Louisiana. There was also a Fort Rosalie artifact display.

Activities wrapped up with a street party on Broadway Street overlooking the Mississippi River.
