Video: MSU coach organizing Harvey donation
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- As recovery efforts continue to for those affected by Hurricane Harvey, one area coach is taking time away from the basketball court, to the road to take donated clothes down to those in Texas. Mississippi State Women’s basketball Coach, Vic Shaefer, is a native Texan.
He started a drive Tuesday at The Veranda restaurant and is taking children’s clothing donations for those in need after Harvey.
“We’re just going to be the collection Point for clothes. They can be new or used as long as they’re clean. Just come in and drop them off at the front door. We’ll have a container there. Coach is leaving Friday and he is driving straight to Beaumont. He’ll be there trying to help but as much as we can get together, people want to come and donate we’ll make sure they get to the kids,” said Veranda owner Jay Yates.
You can drop by any time to drop off any clothing donations.
