Video: Reed Goes Pro, Signs With Texas Rangers

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) — ICC Indian and Houlka native Tyreque Reed officially signs to join the Texas Rangers organization.

The Rangers drafted the Mississippi State commit in the eighth round of the 2017 MLB Draft, making him the second highest draft pick in ICC baseball history.

Reed also became the 19th ICC baseball player to be drafted to the major leagues.

Reed was sensational for the Indians in his sophomore year, leading the country in with a .504 batting average, to go along with 15 home runs and 57 runs batted in.
