TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WCBI/UA Athletics) – The University of Alabama football team put in a two-hour session in full pads on Tuesday afternoon outdoors on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

Today’s practice focused on putting together a gameplan for a strong Ole Miss offense. The Rebels feature the top-ranked total offense in the Southeastern Conference with an average of 496.7 yards per game. Alabama and Ole Miss will meet up this Saturday, Sept. 30, for an 8:10 p.m. CT matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The SEC West pairing will air live on ESPN with Joe Tessitore and Todd Blackledge in the booth and Holly Rowe on the sidelines for the broadcast.

Alabama owns the all-time advantage in the series with Ole Miss at 48-11-2 (after vacations), and won last year’s meeting, 48-43, in Oxford. Head coach Nick Saban is 12-3 all-time (11-3 after vacations) and 8-2 at Alabama (7-2 after vacations) in his career against the Rebels. This is Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke’s first meeting with the Tide.
