Video: Shea Patterson In The Spotlight For Ole Miss

HOOVER, Ala. (WCBI) — At Ole Miss, the quarterback position is always in the spotlight.

The Chad Kelly era in Oxford is now over, and sophomore Shea Patterson will show what he can do in his first full season as the starter.

In three starts in 2016, Patterson threw for 880 yards on 54% completion, with six touchdowns along with three interceptions. Patterson can also hurt teams on the ground, rushing for 169 on 4.1 yard per carry. The Rebels went 1-2 in Patterson’s three starts as a freshman.

The Rebels expect big things in year two from Patterson, even comparing him to former Texas A&M Heisman trophy winner, Johnny Manziel.

Hear from Patterson, head coach Hugh Freeze, and the other Rebels at SEC Media Days in the video link above.
