Video: Starkville Academy Prepares For State Title Showdown

WATCH: The MAIS state championship features a rematch of two of academy powerhouses, Starkville Academy and Indianola Academy.

The Colonels topped the Volunteers, 35-21, back in the September, and Vols head coach Chase Nicholson said that loss changed the season around for Starkville Academy.

Defenses has been the staple behind the Volunteers’ run to its first state title since 2014. Starkville Academy has outscored opponents 101-0 in the MAIS playoffs.
