Video: Starkville – Based Bus Service Expands to Service Airport

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -A new era in airport travel began Monday in the Golden Triangle.  A ribbon cutting for the new GTRA Express Route was held today at the Golden Triangle Regional Airport.

MDOT provided money for the SMART buses route that will be be free for passengers.

The shuttle’s times will correspond with the airport’s three daily flights to and from Atlanta. The shuttle will arrive one hour before flights take off and depart twenty-five minutes after arrival.
“With MDOT we have a multi-phase plan of looking at connections to not only to the GTRA, but to the Mayhew campus of EMCC, and to the economic development opportunities in the region such as, Severstal and others. ”

The shuttle will pick up and drop off passengers at Walmart and the Mill in Starkville.
