Video: Starkville Kiwanis Empower Mississippi

STARKVILLE, Miss.(WCBI)—Education is a top priority for many parents and learning education options Is crucial for the students.

Empower Mississippi actively supports pro school choice and believes parents need to be aware of the impact of public schools and their quality of education.

Tuesday morning the Starkville Kiwanis club met with Empower Mississippi representative Grant Callen who spoke of the benefits of charter and private schools.

Callen says the lack of options is the issue with the education system in our state.

“Too many parents in Mississippi who have kids who don’t have good public schools who don’t have good options and they are trapped and so we exist to empower those families with some greater options,” said Callen.

December 13 the Kiwanis club will hear from public school parents to gain their perspective.
