WATCH: The Winona Tigers looked to cap off a historic season with its first state championship in its first appearance in program history, but falls short to a dynamic Taylorsville team, 41-26.

The 2017 2A state championship is the Taylorsville Tartars sixth as a football program.

Winona senior quarterback JaTyler Moore led the way for the Tigers, throwing for 103 yards and a touchdown, while racking up 73 yards on the ground along with two scores.
