Video: Texas A&M Tops Mississippi State

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (WCBI Sports) – Mississippi State suffered its second SEC loss of the season Saturday as Texas A&M took an early lead and held on for a 30-17 win.

The No. 21 Bulldogs (3-2, 1-2 SEC) trailed 24-10 at halftime, surrendering 516 yards of total offense to the Aggies. MSU gained 406 yards of offense behind senior quarterback Dak Prescott’s 210 yards passing and 96 yards rushing. Prescott was 20-of-34 throwing and ran for a touchdown. Junior wide receiver Fred Ross totaled 103 yards receiving.

No. 14 Texas A&M (5-0, 2-0 SEC) scored on its first two offensive possessions. Sophomore quarterback Kyle Allen threw for 322 yards and two touchdowns while senior Tra Carson rushed for 110 yards and scored a touchdown on the ground. Junior Josh Reynolds totaled 141 yards receiving.

Mississippi State hosts Troy next Saturday, Oct. 10. Kick off is scheduled for 3 p.m. It will be televised on the SEC Network.
