Video: West Lowndes Veteran’s Day Celebration

WEST LOWNDES, Miss.(WCBI)—Celebrating our veterans was the message today as the West Lowndes student body honored the men and women who fought and served our country.

The ceremony kicked off with the presentation of the colors by the junior reserve training corps.

The students also got to see the ceremonial folding of our nation’s flag.

JROTC Student Macy Sparks says they always cease the opportunities to honor those who went before them.

“We have many people serving and we want to make them proud and say hey we celebrate you and we give our gratitude to you for doing it,” said Sparks.

The ceremony concluded with the JROTC showcased, “A Prisoner of War and Missing In Action Soldier” presentation.
