JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Very little debate in the Mississippi legislature on Wednesday, as some Democrats protest how the Republican leadership is handling the agenda.

A few members had bills read aloud in the House and the Senate.

House Democrats used a similar filibuster technique last month.

Another battle brewing at the state Capitol is a bill that would create a regional board for the Jackson airport, which is actually located in Rankin County.

The House adjourned early in the afternoon but the Senate remained in session for a longer period of time.
