Video: A Workshop For Agricultural Financial Professionals
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Agriculture is a large part of Mississippi’s economy, and Mississippi State is holding an event for agricultural financial professionals.
The Extension Service and the Department of Agricultural Economics are hosting bankers, lenders, and other financial professionals working with production agriculture enterprises and agribusiness.
Experts are briefing them on agriculture finance, land values and rents, risk management, and outlooks for different crops.
“What we’re trying to do is give people as much information as we can, and help them make informed decisions on both marketing and on the input side, and planning for the next year,” says MSU Assistant Extension Professor, Bryon Parmon.
This is the fourth year for the event, and agricultural financial professionals come from all over the state.
On Friday, participants will have the opportunity to meet with current MSU Agriculture Business Students.
