Volunteers prepare for Thanksgiving meal deliveries

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Thursday’s the big day and the Salvation Army is teaming up with other organizations to make sure everyone gets stuffed on Thanksgiving day.

Since Monday, volunteers have prepared food that will be put together and delivered to nursing homes tomorrow.

Over 49 pans of dressing and 43 pans of turkey have been made.

“i’m very thankful. I thank God that I was able to be able to do this for the elders and the disabled people along with my coworkers,” said Latounya Smith.

Stokes Beard Elementary is also going to be open tomorrow for families and friends who want to come sit down and eat this food in their cafeteria.
