Wanted Man Found Hiding In Storage Unit

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man on the run from Lowndes County deputies is found hiding in a storage unit.

Kristopher Kellum was arrested about 7:45 AM on Thursday in Monroe County, near Hamilton.

The United States Marshal Service fugitive task force and highway patrolmen got a tip about his location.

Lowndes County investigators say Kellum had a gun on him at the time of the arrest.

He had been on the run since Sunday night, after running from a state trooper on Highway 45.

There was a large manhunt but Kellum was never found.

Right now, Kellum is being held on a warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Deputies say other charges are likely.
