West Lownds High School Students Prepare For The Future

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI) – West Lowndes High school students receives valuable practice Thursday.

The junior and senior’s got the opportunity to participate in the 7th annual West Lowndes mock interview event.

Companies like; Paccar, The City Of Columbus, Aurora Flight Service, UPS, Yokohama Tire, International Paper, Tronox, and several others gathered on campus to show students what interviewing for scholarships and potential jobs will be like after graduation.

Jennifer Rollison says this service is a chance for the students to gain real world experiences.

“They have to have a resume and they have to dress professionally and they will go to each interviewer and the interviewer will score them on their eye contact and just their over all appearance and how well  they do interviewing,” said Rollinson.

There were 25 different companies represented at today’s event.
