West Point man dies in vehicle accident late Tuesday night

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – A West Point man was killed in an overnight accident.

56-year-old Maurice Lovelady died at the scene of the accident on Lower Town Creek Road.

Clay County Coroner Alvin Carter said Lovelady was traveling south in his Chevrolet Corvette when the car went off the road and hit a tree, just after 11 p.m. on November 7.

The accident remains under investigation.
