William Burns says Trump made trend of declining diplomacy “infinitely worse”

Former Deputy Secretary of State William Burns is highlighting what he says is the urgent need for a rebirth of American diplomacy. Burns served five presidents during his more than 30 year career as a U.S. diplomat. Burns joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss his new book, “The Back Channel: A Memoir of American Diplomacy and the Case for Its Renewal.”
