Woman accused of lying about COVID-19 diagnosis, now faces charges

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Eupora woman was accused of lying about her COVID-19 diagnosis.

Latasha Sanders, 29, was charged for “violating health department orders with respect to life-threatening communicable diseases.”

A municipal court affidavit said Sanders lied to medical staff about testing positive for the coronavirus this past Saturday.

The complaint does not release the name of the medical facility.

Police say Sanders caused others safety to be endangered.
