Troy police Chief Randall Barr tells local news media Thursday that 20-year-old Javon Keontre Pryor threatened to kill several Troy police officers in a July 8 post. Court records state Pryor nominated officers’ names as targets and referenced the recent officer killings in Texas in the post.

Pryor is charged with making a terrorist threat.

Police say Pryor’s threats were taken seriously because of his past arrests. Police say he was charged with attempted murder for shooting into an occupied vehicle last year. He was also charged with assault in a 2014 shooting, which left a 17-year-old victim blind.

Pryor is being held at the Pike County Jail on a $50,000 bond. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
