Booneville PD Has Busy Weekend, Makes Multiple Drug Arrests

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI/BOONEVILLE PD) –  The weekend started a day early for Booneville Police, and it was a busy one; officers nabbed six people on drug-related charges. 

32-year-old Jason Michael Sekerak of Corinth was the first. He was arrested Thursday, March 9 after a traffic stop on Second Street near McDonald’s.

Officers learned Sekerak was driving on a suspended license and was in possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Prentiss County Jail where several more controlled substances were found on him during a routine search of his person.

Sekerak was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance inside of a correctional facility. He’s also facing some misdemeanor charges.

His bond on the felony charges was set at $10,000.00.

 

Around lunchtime on Friday, March 10, Booneville Police arrested 28-year-old Marcus Allen after a traffic stop on Jumper Circle. 

Allen was also driving around with a suspended license, and had about 58 grams of methamphetamine in his car along with a set of digital scales.

He was taken to the Prentiss County Jail and charged with felony trafficking of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $75,000.00.

Allen is also on probation with MDOC and currently remains in the Prentiss County Jail.

 

Also on Friday, 26-year-old Brandon Harrison was arrested. MDOC was conducting a home visit at 802 South Bryant Street, and about two (2) grams of methamphetamine was found in
Harrison’s possession.

Booneville PD arrested Harrison and took him to the Prentiss County Jail, where he was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

His bond was set at $5,000.00.

 

45-year-old James Cross was another Friday arrest. Booneville patrol officers responded to Fred’s on Second Street for a possible shoplifter.

When police arrived, they saw a man down on his knees in an aisle of the store. The officers approached and the man identified himself as Cross. 

During the investigation, police found approximately one (1) gram of meth in Cross’s possession.

Cross was taken to the Prentiss County Jail and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $5,000.00.

 

On Saturday, March 11, Booneville PD arrested 44-year-old Gabriel Thompson.

Thompson was arrested on capias warrants handed down from the Prentiss County Grand Jury after Thompson was indicted on several felony charges. 

Thompson is charged with sale of methamphetamine, trafficking/sale of methamphetamine within 1,500 feet of a school, and another charge of sale of methamphetamine within 1,500 feet of a school.

His bond was set at $30,000.00. He’s also being held in the Prentiss County Jail by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

 

37-year-old Anthony Lamar Sullivan was also arrested Saturday by Booneville PD.

Sullivan was indicted by the Prentiss County Grand Jury for sale of methamphetamine enhanced with being within 1,500 feet of a school and for sale of methamphetamine enhanced with being within 1,500 feet of a church.

Sullivan currently remains in the Prentiss County Jail.
