Video: Freeze Latest Target Of Atheist Group

OXFORD (WCBI) – A Wisconsin group is asking Ole Miss officials to make head football coach Hugh Freeze to stop using social media to promote religion.  The Freedom From Religion Foundation says Freeze routinely uses his Twitter account  to quote bible verses and Christian beliefs.  The FFRF says it realizes public figures are allowed to cite personal beliefs on personal social media sites but the Freeze account doesn’t meet that standard .  The letter to Ole Miss Chancellor Jeffrey Vitter and to university attorneys claims the athletic department lists Freeze’s Twitter account on University websites so it is endorsing the account as state sponsored .  The group is not threatening legal action at this time but says the University must make Freeze stop or remove any reference to the account in question from all University materials.  FFRF also says assistant football coach Maurice Harris is guilty of the same violations.  Below are images of the letter to Ole Miss administrators.
