Itawamba Politicians Follow Through On Party Switch

FULTON (WCBI) – Several Itawamba County elected officials are switching parties.

Governor Phil Bryant joined Mississippi Republican Party officials as 7 county leaders joined the GOP.  Sheriff Chris Dickinson, Coroner Sheila Summerford, Supervisors Charles Horn, Steve Moore and Steve Johnson along with Constables Doug Lesley and Terry Johnson all switched party affiliations Thursday morning.   State Republican leaders say a shift in Democratic Party principals led to the local politicians making the move.
