2 MSU Students Win Talent and Swimsuit in Miss Mississippi

VICKSBURG, Miss. (WCBI)- The battle for the crown continues, as two students from Mississippi State won the talent and swimsuit competitions at Miss Mississippi 2015.

Laura Lee Lewis of Brookhaven, Miss Riverland, won Swimsuit, and Miss Tombigee, Alivia Roberts of Shannon is the winner of the Talent contest.

Roberts took home the win with a stunning ballet performance.

Contestants are being judged in categories of physical fitness in swim wear, poise in evening gown and execution in talent.

“I was so grateful to be able to showcase this to everyone,” Roberts said. “Before I went onstage I made sure I said my prayer and I was humble in everything I did, and I thank God and give him all the glory for my win.”

The top 10 finalists will be announced Saturday evening and will compete in all categories of the pageant including an on-stage question.

The 2015 Miss Mississippi will be crowned later that night.

30 women are vying for the crown of Miss Mississippi to represent the state at Miss America in September.
