OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI)- Oxford police say they’ve arrest two men in separate cases–one for stealing a car–the other for failing to stop during a traffic stop. .

Allen Mathis faces the auto burglary charge.

Investigators say Mathis was caught driving a stolen car on Old Taylor Road over the weekend. His bond was set at $1,500.

Willie Mcthune is accused of leading police on a high speed chase back in February. Officers attempted to pull McThume over for a traffic violation. They say he would not stop, and that’s when a the chase began.

The pursuit was eventually deemed unsafe. Officers called off the chase but were able to identify McThume.

He was caught yesterday and charged with felony fleeing.

McThume’s Bond was set at $1,500.
