Alcorn Robbery Conviction

CORINTH, Miss. (Press Release) – Jason Rickey Holloway, 37, will serve the maximum sentence after pleading guilty to robbery on Monday morning in the Circuit Court of Alcorn County. The Alcorn County man was sentenced to fifteen years in state prison. He was prosecuted and sentenced as a habitual offender, meaning that he will be required to serve the entire fifteen years and will not be eligible for any type of parole or early release.
District Attorney John Weddle thanked Corinth Detective Dale Green and Assistant District Attorneys Kyle Robbins and Greg Meyer for their hard work in bringing this case to a resolution. Weddle stated “It’s vital that we protect our communities from habitul criminals like Mr.Holloway.”
Corinth Chief of Police Ralph Dance said “we appreciate the effort of the District Attorney’s office in making sure Holloway got a stiff sentence.”

Prior to the robbery, Holloway called the victim’s husband and, using a false identity and the guise of wanting to do business with him, set up a meeting at a gas station to lure him from the apartment. He then went to the apartment on Levee Road in Corinth, where the victim allowed him in after he told her a similar story about wanting to see pictures of her husband’s concrete work. After gaining entry to the apartment, Holloway used physical force to rob the resident of the apartment.
Holloway obtained knowledge of the husband’s work as well as the location of valuable property in the apartment through Rachael Warren, his girlfriend at the time, who had previously been employed by a cleaning service and had cleaned the victim’s apartment. Warren, who also drove Holloway to the apartment, previously pled guilty and was sentenced to serve a term of five years in prison for her involvement in the case.
