‘Bama Fugitive Caught in Oxford

OXFORD, Miss. — At approximately 3 p.m., the United States Marshals Service arrested Alabama fugitive Bradley Glenn in Oxford, Miss. Glenn was wanted by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Department in Mobile, AL for rape.
On July 14, 2014, information was developed that Glenn was located in the Oxford, MS area. The United States Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force investigated the matter and was able to determine that Glenn was working in Oxford. After multiple interviews and canvasing the area, Glenn was located and arrested without incident at a construction site on Jackson Avenue in Oxford, MS. Glenn was transported to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department to await extradition back to Alabama. “The men and women of the United States Marshals Service are dedicated to the mission of keeping our communities safe” said United States Marshal Dennis Erby. “I’m delighted that once again our mission has positively served the citizens of the Northern District of Mississippi.”
In July of 2006, the United States Marshals Service established the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF). The task force covers the entire states of Mississippi and Alabama, New Orleans, LA and Memphis, TN. Primarily, the task force focuses on violent state and federal fugitives. Full-time members of the task force are as follows: U.S. Marshals Service, Mississippi Department of Correction, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department, Panola County Sheriff’s Department, Tupelo Police Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, and Tate County Sheriff’s Department.
