Brooksville Man Shot During Home Invasion

BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A Brooksville man was shot in the chest and leg in a home invasion early Thursday morning.

Dantavious Hairston, 18, of Brooksville is charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Brooksville police believe he pulled the trigger.

Jadarryl Franklin, 18, of Brooksville is charged with accessory after the fact of armed robbery.

Investigators say two men went into Craig Beck’s house on Martin Luther King Drive, held him at gunpoint and demanded money.

Beck was shot at least three times, then acted as though he was dead to get the gunmen to leave.

Hairston and Franklin were released on bond.

Beck is stable after having surgery.

Brooksville police and Noxubee County deputies are searching for a third person in connection with the shooting.
