Video: Caledonia Man To Remain Jailed

JACKSON, MS (WCBI) – A  Caledonia man will remain jailed for the 2008 murder of his wife.

Brian Holliman was convicted in 2013 of the shotgun death of his wife Laura.   Holliman claimed at the time she had committed suicide but later admitted he had shot her but claimed it was accidental.  In his appeal the the State Supreme Court Holliman argued statements he made to deputies the day of the murder should not have been allowed in court.  He also unsuccessfully pleaded the evidence in the case was not enough to convict him.  The High court rejected those claims meaning Holliman will serve his life sentence for the murder.
