Cash For Cleaning Up Dump Sites Comes Through

(JACKSON, MS) WCBI   Five area counties are getting grants to clean up illegal dump sites.  The Department of Environmental Quality is handing out the money to  Benton, Chickasaw,  Pontotoc,  Tishomingo and Union counties.  The funds can be used for actual cleanup as well as to establish programs like bulk recycle drop off points and recycling programs.  The amounts for each location are as follows:

Benton $10,008

Chickasaw $11,717

Pontototoc $15,500

Tishomingo$13,304

Union  $14,158
