Choctaw Co. Clerk Withdrawing from Race

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Two-term Choctaw County Circuit Clerk Peggy Miller will not be on the November general election ballot.

She withdrew from the race for medical reasons.

Now, the Republican and Democratic parties have selected a candidate for the election.

Amy Burdine will run as a Republican and Robin Fulce Sheedy will be the Democratic candidate.

Miller won the Democratic nomination in the August primary and did not have a Republican opponent.
