Columbus Air Force Base Honors Award Winners

COLUMBUS, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – The 14 winners of the 14th Flying Training Wing 2015 Annual Awards pose for a photo Feb. 5 at the Columbus Club on Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi.

The 14 Annual Award winners are Columbus AFB’s “best of the best” for the past calendar year.

Retired United States Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Thomas “Tango” Moore, Annual Awards guest speaker, accepts a certificate of appreciation from U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Richard Lutz II, 2015 Annual Awards Committee, after Moore’s speech at the Annual Awards Banquet Feb. 5 on Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi.

Moore retired from the USMC in 2008.

Senior Airman Nabila Ivaldi, 14th Contracting Squadron, and Senior Airman Dimitri Munoz, 14th Medical Operations Squadron, walk through sabers together as nominees for the Honor Guardsman of the Year category at the Annual Awards Banquet Feb. 5 on Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi.

The banquet honored Airmen in 14 distinct categories that excelled in not only their job and personal development, but also as volunteers in the community.
