Eupora Fatal Fire

WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-Fire investigators are still trying to determine what started a fire that killed a Webster County man.

Family members said the man was on fire when he tried to escape the flames.

Family members tell WCBI 64 year-old Charles Gary is the person who died.

The blaze started about seven Tuesday night at the mobile home on Judenary Road.

Gary’s older brother, Willie, said a woman attempted to put out the flames engulfing his brother.

The home and everything inside was destroyed.

Webster County deputies and the state Fire Marshal are investigating the fire.

Eupora and Walthall fire departments helped put out the flames.
