LOWNDES COUNTY, MS (WCBI) –     WE ALL know WE NEED TREES TO BREATH, BUT IN MISSISSIPPI THE FORESTRY INDUSTRY’S LINK TO SURVIVAL GROWS DEEPER.
YESTERDAY WE LOOKED AT THE 10 BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY BY VISITING BARGE TIMBERLANDS.

<             Not all of the specially grown trees harvested from Barge Timberlands in Noxubee County is exported. Some of the harvest of lob lolly pine ends up at the Columbus Weyerhauser Cellulose Fibers Plant.
Baby diapers, adult incontinent, and feminine hygiene product you may find on shelves in stores. All made from the trees in Mississippi forests.
In just about 24 hours those chips from trees of the forest are transformed into usable products.
