COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Less than two months after one fast-food restaurant closes, another is filling the void in Columbus.

The owner of the Jack’s franchises in West Alabama has purchased the old Bojangle’s site on busy Highway 45 in Columbus and is turning it into a Jack’s restaurant.

The new business should be open within a few weeks. The 50-year-old national franchise’s closest locations are in Vernon, Fayette, Aliceville and Reform, Alabama.

Just what Columbus needs! Another eatery! ( nothing against jacks I really like their food) but Columbus needs to focus on more major retail stores, like a new mall to shop at! I would rather go to Columbus and shop for the holidays because it is SO much closer, but really there is NOTHING there, so I am forced to travel further, hwy 45 should be renamed and called restaurant hwy
