Lowndes Agents Log Drug Arrests

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (Press Release) — On Monday June 1, 2015 members of the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and the Lowndes County Narcotics Unit received information that led to the arrest of Ryan Mixon. Mixon was located at an address on Vancourt Road in Lowndes County and taken into custody without incident.

Ryan T. Mixon, 31, of Columbus was arrested and charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance which included oxycodone and hydrocodone.

On Tuesday June 2, 2015 Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department were called to an address on Victor Road in reference to a person asleep at the wheel. Deputies arrived and found Joshua Haynes asleep with his foot on the brake. After a brief investigation Deputies found Haynes to be in possession of alleged methamphetamine. Agents with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit were notified, responded to the scene, and took over the investigation.

Joshua W. Haynes, 22, of Columbus was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and violation of probation.

On Tuesday June 2, 2015 Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department were called to an address on Wanda Lane in Columbus for a suspected overdose. After arriving on scene Deputies called in an ambulance to treat the victim. After a brief investigation Agents with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit responded to the address. Agents obtained a search warrant and searched parts of the residence where spice and cocaine were found.

Jeremy D. Sullivan, 33, of Columbus was arrested and charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoid (spice) and possession of cocaine.

On Tuesday June 2, 2015 Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department, Agents with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit, and Agents with the Sheriff’s Department Warrants Division executed a search warrant and arrest warrant at the address of 1682 Highway 373 Columbus, MS. Andrea R. Hall was taken into custody after barricading the doors of the house with furniture, and being found hiding in the top shelf of a closet. A search of the residence yielded marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Andrea R. Hall, 32, of Columbus was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Hall also had an arrest warrant for Contributing to the neglect of a child.
