Man Arrested, Accused of Hitting Salvation Army Bell Ringer

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Hamilton man is behind bars after police say he hit a Salvation Army bell ringer.

It happened around 6:30 p.m., Friday, at the Columbus Walmart.

Columbus police tell WCBI Christopher Robuck reportedly hit a bell ringer in the back of the head.

Walmart workers held Robuck until officers arrived.

Police are charging him with public drunkenness, and failure to obey a police officer.
