Man Arrested in Attempted Columbus Burglary

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A man is behind bars after Columbus police say he tried to break into a home Thursday night.

20-year-old Deaviren Flowers is being charged with attempted burglary of a dwelling.

His arrest comes after officers got a call around 11:30 p.m., Thursday, that two men were trying to break into a house.

It’s in the area of 4th Avenue and 10th Street North.

When they arrived, investigators say they found a broken window, and saw Flowers run away. They then arrested him.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.
