Video: Man Convicted Of Impregnating Underage Family Member

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lee County man will serve 15 years in prison for impregnating a family member under the age of 16.

Mario Cayson, 26, was arrested for sexual battery in 2012.

Prosecutors say he had sex with the underage girl over a three year time period.

Due to the nature of the crime, Cayson will be required to serve the entire 15 years and is not eligible for parole or early release.

Cayson will have to register as a sex offender.

The district attorney’s office says it took the jury 20 minutes to return the guilty verdict earlier this week.
