NEMCC Continues Student Technology Upgrades

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -An area Community College is making strides to prepare its students for technology in the workplace. Northeast Mississippi Community College is expanding its iPad initiative, ONE Northeast.

Starting this Fall, NEMCC will make iPads available to all of its students.

Its part of a move to have students working with the equipment that they can expect to find on the job.

Northeast was the first community college in the State to equip its faculty with the devices. The school has also been using the iPads in its Medical Laboratory Technology program for the past four years.

Students will be able to choose among the iPad Air, iPad Mini, or traditional print textbooks.
