Noxubee County Man Found Guilty…Twice
MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – An interesting twist in a Noxubee County courtroom Thursday (9-13) as Judge Lee Howard does not accept the jury’s first verdict. After deliberating for around three hours, the jury came back with a guilty verdict against Dareious “Rico” Bryant. But, when Howard polled the jury at the request of the defense, a juror said that wasn’t how he had voted. Howard then sent them back to the jury room where they debated an hour before finding Bryant guilty a second time. Bryant was sentenced to life in prison. Bryant is charged with shooting Lemarco Tate at the Beehive café. In Shuqualak in May of 2009.
