Starkville Police Arrest Teen for Car Theft

STARKVILLE, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) — On Monday, January 4, 2016, officers with the Starkville Police Department observed a vehicle that was reported as stolen.

As officers surrounded the area, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from police.

The subject, a 14 year old male from Starkville, was apprehended in the area and charged with stealing the vehicle.

Further investigation revealed he was also responsible for a “snatch and grab” from the register of the Comfort Suites, 801 Russell St., Starkville, MS the night before and possibly more auto burglaries in the area.

The juvenile was turned over to Youth Court and they have taken action in this case.

No additional information as to the identification of this juvenile will be released.
