Video: Storm Damage In Carrollton

CARROLLTON, Ala. (WCBI) — Parts of Pickens County were in the direct line of severe weather that came through Tuesday.

Robbieson Ridge Road in Carrollton, Alabama was hit hard by heavy winds and rain.

Trees were snapped in half and power lines downed along the road.

Residents tell WCBI some trees also fell on top of vehicles

One resident tells us she just made it to the storm shelter before the storm hit.

Now, they are left to clean up the debris.

“Just thankful, everything is ok, I have a few shingles off the house but we’re ok, it could have been worse huh? yes ma’am it could have,” said resident Gloria Sharp.

“They really care about their grandmother and they want to make sure she’s ok, they were itching to get over here as fast as they could,” said her daughter Wendy Grace.

Minor injuries were reported throughout Pickens County.
