HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) — California Dreaming starts for real in the morning for members of the Houston High School Sundancer Solar car team

That’s when the team leaves Texas Motor Speedway on the way to Los Angeles California as part of the Winston Solar Car Challenge. Today was the second day of inspection of the teams competing for the title.

Houston has won the competition every year they have entered it. Another win this year would make it 13 titles.

The challenge alternates between road courses and closed track competitions. This year its an eight-day competition ending July 30 in Los Angeles.

It’s hard to keep up with what’s going on in real time. Hope there is some good posting on hour to hour results. I don’t do Twitter. :o)) I check the blog and Facebook, but the Winston folks are real slow in posting even daily results sometimes.
