I read house bill no 2 and it states that licensing requirements are exempt in this law it looks to me that no training is required to carry a firearm that is visible. It does not say that you have to have training unless you want to get the enhanced permit. Am I missing something here.

I agree, this article was written with a very liberal slant. Most of the questions of concern in this article could be answered by simply reading the law. Very easy to understand as to who can carry and the places that guns are off limits. Sounds more like someone is trying to scare the public on this issue. Article could have been a benefit to the public if it had been written to simply inform.

You can bet that if R.H. Brown done the reporting it has the naacp’s point of view, along with being very liberal.

This will in no way put more guns on the streets, and like the other poster said….thugs don’t abide by laws.

What type of gun traing are these Sheriff’s referring? What does the law say?

I feel that you are reporting this story with your liberal slant. If you check the records I think you will find that those of us who have carry permits do not commit crimes. The gangs and drug related crimes are not by legal gun owners.
    Thank you for your article.
