Video: Tennessee Man Arrested for Fake Silver Coins, Bars

TUPELO, Miss. (Press Release) — The Tupelo Police Department has arrested a Selmer, Tenn., man for uttering a forgery.
Carl Wilson, 70, is being charged after he was discovered passing counterfeit silver coins and bars at local pawn shops. Wilson sold some of the counterfeit coins at a local pawn shop. After he left the employees discovered that the coins were fake.
Wilson was arrested a short time later when he attempted to pass more false counterfeit items at another pawn shop.
Numerous counterfeit silver coins, bars and cash were located in Wilson’s vehicle.
