Thaxton Names New Alderwoman

THAXTON, MS – (WCBI) – The Thaxton Board of Alderman is now full again.   Kim Hooker Gilliam was appointed Tuesday night to fill the remainder of the term of  Former Alderwoman Kelsey Bevill who stepped down in September.  The city had set a special election to fill the post but since no one qualified to run. The board was required to pick the replacement.  Gilliam will serve until the next round of municipal elections
