HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI)-A trial date has been set for May 20th at 9 o’clock in the morning at the Houston County Circuit Court to hear the charges brought against Okolona Assistant Police Chief Romona Robertson. Robertson was stopped by the Mississippi Highway Patrol in December for erratic driving and speeding in a city patrol car. Inside the vehicle, Troopers say they found pills. She has plead not guilty to charges of DUI, speeding, failure to obey an officer, and possession of a controlled substance. She has asked for a six- person jury to hear the case. She has remained on the job pending the trial. The Judge to reside over the hearing has not yet been released.
