UPDATE: Suspect in Tishomingo Standoff Named

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon says the suspect in a deadly standoff there is Charles Lee Lambert, 45. Lambert died at the scene after a shootout with law enforcement.

Wilemon says Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Agent Lee Tartt, a 22 year law enforcement veteran, was shot multiple times with an assault rifle and died at an Iuka hospital. Wilemon says Tartt was the commander of the SWAT team.

The other law enforcement injured at the scene were taken to various hospitals in Mississippi and at least one in Memphis.
