Utility Scam Strikes Tupelo Water And Light

Several Tupelo Water & Light customers have reported receiving calls recently from someone posing as a Tupelo Water & Light employee, asking for credit card information over the telephone.

Apparently, the caller tells customers if they do not give out a credit card number, their power service will be interrupted.

Tupelo Water & Light is NOT making these phone calls.

If you receive a call requesting a credit card number or threatening to terminate your power service, please report it to the Tupelo Police Department.
